West Dundee River Challenge (Intelligentsia Cup Cycling Series)
In 2016, West Dundee became a host city for the Intelligentsia Cup, a 10-day bicycle road racing event for amateur and professional cyclists which takes place in mid-July each year.
Historic Old Town North will once again be abuzz with fast paced racing action throughout the day, offering an extra challenge for racers as they face the Washington Street uphill climb - the “legbreaker” - on every lap of the circuit.
Grafelman Park will be full of family-friendly activities, including a kid’s bike clinic and a family bike parade, costumes encouraged (with prizes.) This year will see the event expanded to include a Restaurant and Entertainment Corridor downtown with live music and race-side dining.
Additional information will be provided to all addresses on the course in regards to impacts and parking arrangements.
