Backflow Testing: Fire Suppression and Lawn Irrigation Systems

Properties with fire sprinklers or a lawn irrigation system must be equipped with a backflow prevention device as required by the Village's Cross Connection Control Ordinance to protect against potential contamination to the public water supply. A successful test of the device(s) must be completed once per year and each time the device(s) are disconnected and reconnected to the municipal water system. Click here for more information.

Pavement Management Report

In the Fall of 2019, an updated pavement management report was conducted to assess the current condition of all streets maintained by the Village. The primary goal of a successful pavement management plan is to identify an appropriate schedule to target streets for repair before their condition rapidly declines and becomes more expensive. This strategy is the most effective use of the Village’s allocated budget regardless of the budget amount.

The report provides the following:

  • Determination of overall pavement condition and assignment of condition ratings.
  • Development of pavement improvement strategies, GIS mapping and cost estimates.
  • Development of a recommended 5-year capital pavement maintenance plan.

The information contained within this report will be utilized to plan for street improvements over the next several fiscal years.
